The ALL•AIR™ UR Upper Room Module relies on the air convection in a room to expose the airborne microorganisms to ultraviolet germicidal light. The ALL•AIR™ UR Upper Room Module can be used independently or in conjunction with other air treatment methods for many different applications. These may include: room disinfection in hospitals, clinics or shelters, or air sterilization in process environments such as bakeries or packaging facilities.

The UR modules have specific installation requirements for upper room UV-C light irradiation applications:

1. The performance of the ALL•AIR™ UR Upper Room Module is dependent on having adequate air circulation within the room so that all room air is moved through the upper irradiated zone 4-6 times per hour.
2. The installation must meet National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health recommended exposure limit (REL) for ultraviolet. The REL is 0.2 µW/cm² per 8 hours of exposure.
3. Upper room UVGI is not recommended in rooms with a ceiling height less than 9 feet.
   Rooms with elevated areas (i.e. bunk beds) that might allow occupants to view the light elements directly must have higher ceiling heights. Consult the L2B Engineering Department for site-specific recommendations.
