The prevention of microbial growth on commercial HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) cooling coil(s) using ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) leads to lower maintenance costs and energy savings. 

The ALL•AIR™ DR Rack Mount System sterilizes the cooling coil(s), an integral part of a building’s HVAC system.  The coil(s) can host microorganisms, most commonly mold, which can contribute to respiratory illnesses and can easily trigger allergies. Uncontrolled, mold microbes can be distributed throughout the entire building by its HVAC system. UVGI of the HVAC cooling coil(s) prevents microbial buildup on the coil(s) and drip pan, inhibiting the release of pathogenic microorganisms.  A clean cooling coil has a significant impact on the health and productivity of the building’s occupants.

Additionally, biological contamination buildup on the coil fins can affect thermal transfer through the coil and occasionally cause airflow blockage. A clean coil brings the building to temperature using less energy, reduces maintenance costs and ultimately results in operational cost savings.
